Av Bodeguers (D.O. Empordà)

In 2002, Carlos Alcàcer and Conxita Vilarmau decided to make a reality one of their dreams: create a high quality winery in the DO Empordà.

AMAR BY JOVANI

Varieties: Xarel lo, Macabeo and Parellada + Xarel lo from Massis del Garraf aged in barrels

Aging: From 18 to 27 months

Production: 10,000 bottles per year

Guarda Superior Reserva Brut Nature Organic

Close your eyes and imagine the freshness of the Mediterranean in the morning, the aromas of the Garraf massif of pines, bushes and aromatic herbs, that soft saline breeze on your face... For us, this cava transports us directly there. And it is made in a unique way. Part of the Xarel·lo grapes come from Garraf where our mother spent the summer and we were taken to the beach as children. The wine is previously fermented and aged in barrels and that gives it a unique complexity in aromas. When you open it, you quickly discover the fresh and fruity notes and when you taste it, a combination of toasted, malic and citrus fruits are added without losing that salinity typical of Xarel·lo del Garraf. Amar is the cava tribute to our mother, an intense, fruity and very Mediterranean cava, which always makes us feel as if we were on a sunny day by the sea.

TASTING NOTE

Bright with greenish reflections. Abundant and fine bubbles. The first thing you notice is the freshness and salinity that season the notes of white flowers and crisp green apple. And little by little, vanilla and toasted nuts appear. In the mouth it is broad, unctuous and very marine.

GRAN RUPESTRE

Aging: From 42 to 60 months -Gran Reserva-

Guarda Superior Reserva Brut Nature Organic

Our great cava, complex, long-lived, experienced... Much more than a Gran Reserva. We cut his throat after 42 months but, if he admits it, wekeep him much longer. Up to 60 months. They say that rock art is one of the manifestations that have endured the longest years without spoiling. This cava is a Great Rupestrian. And this is partly due to the quality of the grapes and partly to the protection provided by the underground cellar, where the bottles age in silence, in the shade and sheltered from the outside like those wonderful prehistoric paintings. A magical, elegant and very gastronomic cava.

TASTING NOTE

Straw yellow in color and with fine bubbles. Very expressive on the nose, with notes of ripe white fruit, melon and herbaceous hints of fennel on a very fine pastry background. On the palate, it is fresh and notes of nuts and hazelnuts appear. Of extreme finesse.

It is a fresh, vibrant and Mediterranean sparkling wine with which you can get drunk and smile with your loved ones. We love.

TASTING NOTE

Very pale pink color, subtle, elegant. The nose is intense, fresh, with a background of red fruits (raspberries, wild strawberries). But what will surprise you is its creaminess and the notes of hibiscus flower and candy cloud that give it a unique character.

Aging: Gran Reserva (120 – 168 months)

Varieties: Xarel.lo, Macabeu, Parellada

Cava Tribute

Isidre Guilera made the first Cava Guilera bottles in 1927, when Maria Sarda and himself worked as farmers at Can Batlle. Isidre was a self-taught man and made a few bottles secretly. Six years later they decided to buy the Ca l'Artigas farmhouse, our current location. It was a risky move indeed but one that proved to be a success, as we have already celebrated our 90th Anniversary. The result of a great harvest and even great patience, this long aging cava expresses our very essence: intuition, experience, passion and resistance. Time allows such longed for to hatch -only-when it is time. Perseverance, faith and knowing when it has arrived. The moment : ] The label represents the foundational big bang moment of Cava Guilera and the sherry eclosion that we are searching with this Gran Reserva cava.

It is our most daring cava and we create it in order to explore the limits of cava: velvet acidity, mature fruit, smokiness, toasty notes and increasing sherry and honey hints. It is an extreme Gran Reserva cava: corpulent, orchestral and bold.

GUILERA MUSIVARI

Sugar: Brut Nature (no sugar added)

Aging: Gran Reserva (96 – 120 months)

Varieties: Xarel.lo, Macabeu, Parellada

Cava Tribute

"Science that studies the mosaic Penedès is a mosaic of vineyards, forests, streams, small towns and villages. A land where people passed through and that was established by the first villages in the Mediterranean. A polychrome collage of blues, greens, golden and toasted colours that must be handled with reasoning and great sensibility. Pere Guilera [third generation of the family and president of Cava Guilera] has devoted his life to conserve the singularity of our landscapes. Consensus man and great enthusiast, he strongly defends that in a landscape mosaic like ours, the harmony of the whole should always prevail. Guilera Musivari is cava tribute to our mediterranean landscapes and to my father, Pere Guilera"

It is our flagship cava, made with a selection of the very best vintages. The highlight of this cava is the absolute harmony and freshness after the long aging process: mature fruit; toasted and smoked flavours, warm creaminess and long aftertaste. Extremely smooth and silky.

Castell d'Encus (Wines from the Pyrenees)

The Pyrenees region is a true challenge for wine makers: clima is extreme and soils are poor. But when the wine maker is a perfectionist, as Raül Bobet is, results are amazing.

The altitude brings the opportunity to create fresher wines without giving up good maturation: Cold temperatures in winter, and a sharp contrast between day and night throughout the year, together with a huge variety of soils, are some of the secrets that make it possible to obtain high quality wines with great potential for ageing

EKAM

Hand-picked grapes in small, 10 kg cases from the estate blocks. A small percentage of the grapes were harvested with noble root. Fermented in 25 Hl and 50 Hl small tanks at low temperatures.
This wine will develop the cold weather Riesling complexity while ageing in the bottle, always well integrated with the high acidity and long glycerine characteristics from botrytis wine. It has a significant ageing potential

TASTING NOTE
Lively entry with notes of unripe peach. It shows good length and great aging potential.. Varieties: 85% Riesling, 15% Albariño

TALEIA

Manual harvesting in small boxes of 10kg of grapes coming solely from the own farm. A part of the wine has been fermented in barrels of new French oak, with a certain period of aging on lies. The rest of the wine has been elaborated in small stainless tubes of 25 hl. Thanks to its acidity, there is a clear message: “Be patient, I will age very well, I will become magical and complex,” as long as it is stored in appropriate conditions and temperature. Good range of pairing possibilities, no opulence at all.

AROMA
Clean, with a certain shyness and elegance. Light citrus notes, with nuances of dry peach and quince.

TASTING NOTE
Entry with fat, with hints of apricot, accompanied by an integrated acidity. Very long in the mouth and with great aging potential.

SANTIAGO ROMA (D.O.Rías Baixas)

Santiago Roma is a viticulturist and winemaker who created his project in 1997 but was already a third generation of viticulturists producing wine for self-consumption.  “He has been raised among vines with his parents and grandparents”

Its main objectives are to respect the origin and terroir in the production of each vintage, obtaining Signature wines and from Atlantic plots within the smallholding in vineyards owned and managed by the winery that are located in the Salnés D.Origen Rías Baixas Subzone (GALICIA –SPAIN). ).

They make wines that are different in each vintage due to the variable climatic conditions between rainfall, solar radiation and different microclimates over small distances.
